Hallucinogens are drugs that cause hallucinations, or profound distortions in the way a person looks at reality. They're known by a wide range of street names, such as acid, angel dust, and vitamin K.
Under the influence of hallucinogens, people see images, hear sounds, and feel sensations that seem real but do not exist. Other hallucinogens include mescaline, psilocybin, and ibogaine.
